
Societies Policy Group
The Societies Policy Group represent the views of students regarding societies at GCUSA. Representatives are elected at Student Parliament from all the societies that are affiliated to the Students' Association and represented on parliament. Members are usually elected at the last Parliament meeting of the academic year.
Membership 2009-10:

- Sampson Akwafuo (Nigerian Students Society)
- Sandhya Anantharaman (Indian Social Group)
- Graham Kerr (law society)
- Eoghan Quinn (Irish Society)
- Emma McLeod (CSP member)
- Heather Scott (CSP member)
Duties:
1) Responsible for the coordination of all recognised clubs and societies which are supported by the Association;
2) To be responsible to CSP for all business and financial arrangements for clubs and societies and allocating the societies budgets;
3) Shall be responsible for developing Association policy on clubs and societies, subject to the approval of Caledonian Student Parliament;
4) Four statutory meetings will be held throughout the academic session; two in each semester.
4) There should only be one representative from each society on the Societies Policy Group
