Glasgow Caledonian University Student of the Year Award 2008
This year there were winners at bronze, silver and for the first time ever - GOLD!! From these nominees the Glasgow Caledonian University Student of the Year 2008 was choen. Details and pictures of all the winners are included here....
Gold Winners.......... Alun Myers, Steve Rea and Gillian Vesco pictured below!

The Bronze student of the year is Kapilan Radhakrishnan, the Postraduate Convenor and head of the Indian Social Group, a new society which has been very successful this year.
The winner of Silver level is Wendy Paton, who is a student mentor, and has been so for the past three years providing students with information about the university and helping them to solve any problems they may have.

And Finally.....we are pleased to announce that the Glasgow Caledonian University Student of the Year Award 2007/2008 has gone to........ Alun Myers a fourth year physiotherapy student who has been involved in the Students' Association for the last four years through the swim team.
He has also been a class rep, representing the view of his fellow students and is currently a member of the Student Executive as the Campaigns Officer having carried out a successful campaign to permanently lower the price of fresh fruit across campus amongst other things.

The winners were decided by a panel of judges from the Association and the University. More details of the guidelines can be found here.
