Terms and Conditions
1. Nominations will only be accepted before the date and time specified.
2. Nominations will only be accepted by Glasgow Caledonian Students signed up to the Student Leaders Programme or by staff members of the University or Students' Association responsible for one of the designated groups.
3. Nominations will only be accepted for individuals and not for groups.
4. Participants in the Student Leaders Programme may nominate themselves for the Award.
5. Nomination forms will not be returned.
Judging and shortlisting
The Awards Panel will judge the winners against the statement provided by the nominator. The judging panel will be made up of the Vice President Support and Advice, the Vice President Sports and Societies, senior members of University staff and representatives from University Court.
The judging panel will meet between the close of the nominations and the date of the Student Leaders Awards Ceremony. The panel will choose a winner for each sub-group of the Student Leaders Programme and an overall winner. Each winner from the sub-group will be videoed on why they should be Caledonian Student of the Year which will be shown at the Awards Ceremony before the winner is announced. The judges' decision is final. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into at any time. The awards panel reserves the right to refuse any nomination for any reason considered justifiable.
Information given is correct at the time of writing. The Student Leaders Programme reserves the right to vary the rules and conditions of nominations and judging procedure and alter the published programme, as may be deemed necessary. The Caledonian Student of the Year Award is a joint project between Glasgow Caledonian University and Glasgow Caledonian University Students' Association.
Prizes: Each level winner will receive an ipod and the Glasgow Caledonian University Student of the Year will also receive an engraved trophy as well as be invited to attend a Graduation Lunch with the Principal.
