The Social Work Society has had a very successful year and enjoyed several social events and welcomed guest speakers. This included: a social at the Brunswick Cellars including buffet followed by a trip to The Stand Comedy Club; Christmas celebrations and a highly successful
guest speaker sharing with us her experiences of working with various service-user groups.
The Society is a lot of fun and has meant that we have met other students from across the year groups and been able to share our experiences of placements and social work in general. It is worth joining just so that you can ensure you put the social into social work!
