Having a qualified coach for activities can be extrememly beneficial to the experience of participants and in some cases can be a NGB prerequisite for activities. Sports clubs can opt to have a volunteer or a paid coach. Students who volunteer to coach can access funding through the ALEX GOODMAN FUND to help personal development and gain qualifications.

It is Sports Clubs Policy that any person who coaches or instructs a student sports club must register with the Students' Association using this form. All sports coaches must supply a basic disclosure check as part of the registration process, either by requesting one online or providing a copy of one from the past 12 months. Please also submit a photocopy of relevant coaching qualifications or awards to Students' Association and if you have no N.G.B. qualifications, please submit a letter of reference from a suitable referee.
